Think CNN did a puff piece like this on George Bush's infamous 'Cowboy Swagga'?

And the tea party leaders take him up on the offer...
Oops. Bet Obama wishes he could take those comments back?
BTW - what's with the CNN countdown graphic to the 'National Report Card' - apparenty in reference to Obama's televised press conference tonight? Laying it on a little thick, don't you think?

Mark Levin - responding to a caller who asked why conservative critics of universal healthcare don't use the term 'rationing' more often:
I talk about that all the time. I call it 'rationing', all the time. But, that's not the point really. Honest to God, I mean, I agree we need to remind people that we're talking about rationing.
The point is, we can't seem to awaken enough people in this country to get upset about this stuff, and to act. We just can't. By the time they wake up and see what's going on...and part of that is the fault of our system, which is broken, which allows these demagogues to get away with this stuff, to work in the shadows.
You heard Congressman Paul Ryan. He's supposed to be on one of the big committees that discusses this stuff with the Senate, and he's completely cut out of the process. He went back to Wisconsin, where his constituents are, because they won't let him in, and won't let the other Republicans in on the process. They're cutting out the Senate Republicans by skirting the filibuster rule, by evading it.
So the public in many respects, either doesn't know what's going on, or just assumes that these people are acting in their best interests.
Thank you for your call.
This is another thing that bothers me a lot. Why is it assumed that politicians, who are really, in many cases, the lowest of the low, and the dumbest of the dumb, and who demonstrate time and again that they're motivated by their own personal careers, and little else, in many respects...why would you surrender these decisions to them? Why would you surrender your decisions to Nancy Pelosi? And Barney Frank? And Chris Dodd? Haven't they screwed up enough? Haven't they damaged our economy enough? Haven't they damaged your children and grandchildren enough? Why do we grant them this kind of power over our own lives? And we do it voluntarily! Although, 'voluntarily' with a footnote. The reason they're in a hurry, the reason they lie about what they're doing, the reason why the media help them lie about what they're doing, is so they can conceal as much of this as possible. But most of us have been around long enough to know exactly what's going on here.
Indeed.
In other words: Get ready for your beatdown, American consumers...

More than half of the electricity generated in America comes from coal. So assuming Obama keeps his promise to bankrupt the coal industry, we're going to have to find another way to generate our electricity, and fast.
Bike power, anyone?
Shouldn't he be working? Oh wait, he is working...
And see how well it lights up the office? Admit it - you can hardly see the difference between coal and bike power:
Not a seance...
Work in an office like this in Arlington County, VA and you'll be down to about 95 pounds within a few short weeks - which would also be good for the environment.
